XML Sitemap Generator
Paste or upload the URLs you control and get a deploy-ready sitemap.xml — sitemaps.org 0.9 urlset with optional lastmod, changefreq, and priority. Generated locally; your site is never crawled or fetched.
Developer notes
• metadataMode controls which child tags appear under each <url> — form defaults apply unless a CSV row overrides that URL. • Upload .csv with url, lastmod, changefreq, priority columns for per-URL metadata. • duplicatePolicy remove dedupes after normalization; sortUrls orders output alphabetically by loc. • Trailing slashes on paths are stripped automatically; http→https is never auto-upgraded — warnings only. • Pair with the Robots.txt Generator sibling and reference the file with a Sitemap: line at deploy time.
Options
URL metadata
Controls optional <lastmod>, <changefreq>, and <priority> children. Default values come from the Metadata defaults form section.
XML formatting
Pretty adds indentation for human review; compact minimizes bytes while staying valid XML.
Duplicate URLs
Remove drops duplicate loc values after normalization; keep emits every pasted line as its own <url> entry.
XML header comment
When on, adds a leading comment with URL count and a local-generation hint.
Sort URLs A→Z
When on, sorts <url> entries alphabetically by loc instead of paste/upload order.
When this is the right tool
• Ship a static site or JAMstack app when you already have a routes/build URL list. • Draft a staging sitemap without installing a crawler SaaS. • Generate a first sitemap.xml from a CSV export before splitting into index files offline.

XML Sitemap Generator FAQ
Paste-local sitemap builder
Does FastMinify crawl my site or discover URLs?
No. Output is built only from URLs you paste or upload. Nothing is fetched, crawled, or proxied against your domain.
Can this replace Screaming Frog or xml-sitemaps.com?
No — this tool is for lists you already control (static sites, build output, staging). It does not spider internal links or crawl a domain.
Which sitemap format does v1 support?
A single sitemaps.org 0.9 <urlset> file. Sitemap indexes and image/news/video extension sitemaps are out of scope for v1.
How do I connect this to robots.txt?
Deploy sitemap.xml at your site root (or chosen path), then add Sitemap: https://example.com/sitemap.xml in robots.txt — use the Robots.txt Generator sibling tool.
