Developer notes

• Drawing uses JsBarcode 3.11.0 with frozen black bars (#000000) and white background (#ffffff). Font and per-side margins are not exposed. • EAN-13 and UPC-A accept digits only; spaces are not stripped. A missing check digit is calculated with GS1 mod-10 before draw; a wrong check digit is rejected. • PNG export rasterizes the same SVG in a canvas — no second server encode. • For checksum-valid dummy GTIN strings (fixtures), use <a href="/en/test-gtin-generator">Test GTIN Generator</a> — not this page.

Options

• Symbology

  Switches the linear format and input rules: free text for Code 128; 12- or 13-digit EAN-13; 11- or 12-digit UPC-A with GS1 check digit validation.

• Show text under bars

  Controls human-readable text (HRI) under the bars in the SVG and raster exports.

• Bar height

  Sets bar height in pixels (short 50, normal 80, tall 120). Taller bars can improve scan reliability on printouts.

• Module width

  Sets the width of one bar module in pixels (narrow 1, normal 2, wide 3), changing symbol density and overall width.

When this is the right tool

• You need a scannable linear barcode image for a mock SKU, internal ID, or demo label — not a GS1 registry lookup. • You want Code 128 for arbitrary text or EAN-13 / UPC-A for retail-style numeric labels. • You need PNG or SVG files without an account, upload, or SVG paywall.
