Developer notes

• Encoding uses qrcode 1.5.4 with library margin 0; page margin is applied in px (PNG) or as a quiet-zone ratio (SVG). • Wi-Fi strings follow WIFI:T:…;S:…;P:…;H:…;; with standard field escaping. • PNG rasterizes via canvas in the browser; SVG is vector output from the same payload.

Options

  • Content type

    Switches between URL, free text, and Wi-Fi join payloads, including which input fields are shown.

  • Colors

    Sets foreground (modules) and background colors for both SVG and PNG exports.

  • Error correction

    Chooses L, M, Q, or H redundancy. Medium (M) is the default.

  • Quiet zone

    Padding in pixels around the symbol in the PNG; the SVG uses the same margin ratio.

  • PNG size

    Square side in pixels for the downloaded PNG only.

Is my URL or Wi-Fi password sent to a server?

No. Encoding, preview, and downloads run entirely in your browser.

Does this track scans or shorten links?

No. The symbol encodes exactly what you type — no dynamic redirect or analytics.

Can I encode a mailto: link?

Yes. Use the text type and paste the full mailto: string.

Why does changing PNG size not change the SVG?

PNG size only affects the raster download. The SVG keeps the same quiet-zone ratio and vector modules.
